Home School Instruction
Hoosic Valley collaborates with Questar III to provide comprehensive support through Home Instruction Support Services.
Home Instruction Support Services:
- Ensuring homeschooled students meet academic requirements as per NYS Commissioner’s Regulations 100.10
- Coordinating receipt and review of required documentation:
- Step 1 – Letter of Intent (LOI)
- Step 2 – Individualized Home Instruction Plan (IHIP)
- Step 3 – Quarterly Reports (1-4)
- Step 4 – Annual Assessment (100.10, h)
- Assisting parents with questions regarding Home Instruction requirements
- Compiling and maintaining records for districts and individual homeschooled students
- Regularly notifying districts of the compliance status of homeschool programs
Families homeschooling their students are encouraged to use the Home Instruction Links for the submission of required documents.
Submissions may also be mailed to Home Instruction, Questar III BOCES, 10 Empire State Boulevard, Castleton, NY 12033.
