2025-26 Hoosic Valley Tax Bill information
2025 School tax bills have been mailed to taxpayers who do not hold escrow accounts. For those who hold escrows, bills were sent electronically to the banks for payment.
Payments can be made by paying online or sending a check in the mail.
ONLINE PAYMENTS:
Please visit https://infotaxonline.com/FindProperty.aspx?20 to Print or View a copy of your School Tax Bill/ Receipt or to pay with a credit card or echeck.
There are two options to pay online:
E-check: Direct withdrawal from your bank account Fee is $1.50
Credit card payments: Mastercard, Discover, American Express or Visa. A per transaction convenience fee of 2.65% or $3.00 minimum will be paid by the taxpayer directly to the online payment processing company.
IMPORTANT info when searching for your bill online.
The search engine requires only one of the following:
a.) Owners last name
or
b.) Street name (name only, no house number)
or
c.) the SBL/TAX ID#.
or
d.) the tax bill #

Include your telephone number on your check should we need to contact you about your payment.
Incorrectly written payments without a phone number will be returned by mail to the taxpayer and remain in unpaid status subject to late fees as outlined below.
Taxes received or postmarked September 2, – Oct. 1, 2025 are collected without penalty.
Taxes received or postmarked October 2, – Nov 1, 2025 must have a penalty of 2% added.
Taxes received or postmarked after Nov 1, 2025 shall be returned to the taxpayer.
Credit card or e-check payments will be accepted until 11:59 pm EST on Nov. 1, 2025.
**Real Property Tax Law (RPTL) 925 states : *USPM (when mailing your payment)-
• If the postmark does not appear on such wrapper or the postmark is illegible such payment shall be deemed to have been made on the date of delivery to such collection officer.
• A postage meter mark is NOT a postmark made by the US Post Office and, therefore, is not within provisions of RPTL 925. Payments cannot be deemed timely because of a postage meter postmark on an envelope.
Note:
Taxes not paid by Nov 1, 2025 are turned over to the appropriate County for collection.
At that point additional penalties will be imposed. Contact the County tax service office to determine the balance owed. Uncollected amounts at the county will be re-levied on the town and county tax bill.

- Can I pay my school taxes in installments, or make a partial payment?
A. No, the full amount must be submitted, or payment will be returned.
- May I pay for my taxes with a credit card?
A. YES please see online payment information above.
- Can I get a copy of my old tax bills?
- Yes, please contact the Tax Collection Office (Contact information listed above).
- My tax bills will no longer be paid by escrow through my mortgage company, what do I do?
- Usually, the escrow companies will let us know. If you did not receive a bill, you can print one from the link above or you can send an email or call to the tax collection office.(Contact info listed above).
- How do I apply for the STAR exemption, or what if my STAR exemption hasn’t been applied?
A. Contact your assessor through your local town hall, and they can assist you.
- Why is my Tax Bill higher than anticipated?
A. Check the Star Exemption or your Assessment Value.
All questions regarding address changes, the STAR program, assessments, reapportionments, boundaries, transfer of ownership, etc., should be referred to the Assessor in the town where the property is located.
