The Hoosic Valley High School Student Council participated in the Walk for Hospice on Saturday, June 14th at Siena College in Latham. Over 30 Student Council members in grades 7-12 attended the walk led by advisors Eric O’Brien and Adam Myott.
The Student Council has been participating in the walk for a few years now under the team name HV Blue Crew. They raised over $2,000 in this year’s fundraiser and enjoyed a post walk lunch by Wagon Train BBQ and musical entertainment by The Refrigerators band.
Many of the students walked in memory of a family member who has been supported by the Community Hospice Foundation. The Hospice Walk fundraising supports multiple hospice programs including Camp Erin which is a bereavement camp for grieving children.
