A select group of junior and senior art students had the privilege to attend an in-house field trip to the art room for an entire school day! Visiting fiber artist Mallory Zondag through Arts In Education funding came to present and teach students the process of how to create felted flowers. They started with the basic steps of choosing their colored roving, learning the process of creating the felt with olive oil soap, warm water, and a lot of rolling! They created one layer, moved on to attach one layer of felt that they made to another layer, and by the end of the day they were creating beautiful felted flowers.
