We’re excited to feature Eric O’Brien, a dedicated teacher at Hoosic Valley who, along with Mr. Myott, has been instrumental in building up Student Council, encouraging students to participate in numerous community activities. “It’s been very rewarding to see our students engaging with the community,” Eric shared.
One of Eric’s proudest moments came when his former Science Research student, Kartine LeStage, achieved the distinction of becoming a main author on an upcoming scientific journal article, based on her research project—a remarkable accomplishment in the field of science. “It’s made me very happy to know I had a positive impact on a student’s education,” Eric noted, acknowledging how meaningful it is to see students succeed.
Eric is grateful for the support he receives from his science department colleagues, with whom he collaborates closely. He believes that Hoosic Valley is not only a great place to work but also an excellent environment for students, having seen the quality education his own children received at the school.
Eric’s message is simple yet heartfelt: “Hoosic Valley is a great place to work. It is also a great place to send your children to school.”
