We are excited to feature Annette Lovely(and she is most certainly lovely), our dedicated Cafeteria and Recess Monitor at Hoosic Valley! Annette plays an important role in ensuring that students enjoy a safe and fun recess, and she takes great pride in being a familiar face for students both in and out of school.
One of the highlights of Annette’s role is the recognition and connections she builds with the children. “Children recognize who I am, either in school or out of school,” she shared, reflecting on how meaningful it is for her to see those connections extend beyond the school day.
A particularly impactful part of her job is making sure that children are safe on the playground. “It has affected me by watching children closer and making sure they have a safe and pleasant recess,” Annette said. She keeps a close eye on the students to ensure they avoid injuries while also creating a positive and cheerful atmosphere.
Annette appreciates the students who contribute to the cheerful recess environment, and she hopes her efforts help create a memorable experience for them. Her message is simple but heartfelt: “I hope the children have a good and fun recess.”
