Dear Hoosic Valley Families,
I am very pleased to inform you that our 2024-25 school budget passed last evening with a 76% majority. Additionally, the bus purchase proposition (three 71-passenger buses and 3-22 passenger buses) and the establishment of a new Bus Purchase Reserve Fund passed. Finally, the library funding proposition passed, which will continue the funding of the Driver Memorial and Valley Falls Libraries.
The commitment of our community to the full education of our students is consistent and much appreciated. Your support of the programs and staff at Hoosic Valley make it possible for our students to reach their potential in the classroom and participate in so many different extracurricular activities. Your dedication to our school is matched by the hard-working professionals who make a commitment to provide a safe and sound school experience for all our students.
Our community also elected current board of education members Karen Carlson and Denise Reilly to new four-year terms on the board. Congratulations and thank you to Karen and Denise for their longstanding and continued commitment to our students, staff, and community.
The Board of Education and I would like to thank all who came out for this year’s budget vote. We appreciate your support and look forward to another great school year for our students!
Take care!
Jim Buhrmaster
Superintendent – Hoosic Valley CSD
