Hoosic Valley Mascot Committee 2023-24 Update

The Hoosic Valley student body and community have chosen the Hawks to be our next mascot. Now that this tough decision has been made, we need to gather input from our community to make the next steps go smoothly. We are putting together a committee that will do some research and make recommendations on the following areas:
- Logo design
- Rebranding
- Financial implications
- Retirement of former mascot
- How do we continue to recognize the historical connections to previous local Native American inhabitants
We are looking for students, community members, staff members and representatives from various local groups to fill a committee of around 20 people.
